Bandar Malaysia Constellation City

CCG Architects were invited initially by the majority owner of the Bandar site in Kuala Lumpur to review the existing proposed master plan and to prepare a high level Master Planning concept of a ‘Green City’ for the site. 

The site of the now redundant Royal Malaysian Airforce / Kuala Lumpur International Airport is only a short distance from the iconic Petronas Towers. The site covers an area of 480 acres (194 hectares). 

 As a result of this presentation the consortium of Hatch, CCG, Grimshaw’s Kuala Lumpur & London office and Veritas were invited to participate in a limited competition for ‘Master Architect’ of this city. 


Our Submission included: 

16,200,000mof Development encompassing commercial, residential, retail, entertainment, medical, education, exhibition and convention facilities. 

147 Towers ranging from 35 levels to 110 levels in height 

346,00 Population 

85,000 Car Park Facility 

 

An internal Light Rail system and also personal Automated Vehicles network (PAV’s) 

2 Underground MRT Railway Stations 

1 Major Intermodal Transport Hub servicing High-Speed KLIA & KTM services and the new very fast train line between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
