Newcastle Interchange

Newcastle Interchange is a future transport interchange, built as the terminus of the Newcastle railway line. It serves as the terminus of the Newcastle Light Rail line and an interchange point with Newcastle Buses services.

The project includes:

Truncation of theheavy rail lineto the west of Stewart Avenue, Wickham.
Construction of afully accessible transportinterchange to the west of Stewart Avenue, Wickham.
Construction of anew train stablingfacility to the east of Hamilton Station (northern side).
Brand-new fully accessiblepedestrian bridge overthe rail corridor near Railway Street.
Staffand crewing facilitiesfor NSW Trains, Sydney Trains and associated interchange staff
