Raymond Terrace Police Station

CCG completed designs for a new Regional Local Area Command Police Station at Raymond Terrace, NSW.

This facility provides a high public profile for Police within the Community. The building presents as a light and contemporary development to William Street through its use of materials, fenestration and height.

The design incorporates an awning that provides shelter and a sense of arrival to the entry of the station. The development is set to the south-eastern portion of the site to maximise the glazing opportunities for the health and well being of the occupants. It also satisfies the brief set out by the NSW police force to minimise the travel distance of officers escorting those awaiting trial to the adjacent courthouse.

The height of the station has also been carefully considered and provides a contextual scale response to the adjoining heritage building.
