UTS SAU GRADUATION
The delivery of UTS’ usual graduation ceremonies has been severely impacted due to COVID-19. Currently there are around 18,000 students who have missed a ceremony and an estimated backlog of 3,500 students waiting to participate in a graduation photo opportunity. Having a dedicated space for graduation photo opportunities will
ensured that students who cannot attend a graduation ceremony can still celebrate their achievements with family and friends, have an opportunity to engage in some of the key attributes of graduation, and feel a sense of belonging to UTS.
The space also allow for a year-round opportunity to engage with graduates, and provide gown hire and photo services to the approximately 2500 students who normally
miss out on a ceremony each year.
The primary function of the space is an area where graduates can bring their family and friends to have professional and informal graduation photograph, including the hire or purchasing of academic regalia.
By keeping fixed furniture and settings to a minimum, the space can also be periodically cleared to enable other events and activities.
